Yet another bumper entry to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the International Gold Cup Road Races at the Olivers Mount circuit which is situated in the beautiful seaside resort of Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast.

Two days of action packed racing and other activities are planned by the Auto 66 Club, action begins on the Friday evening when Foggy and Whit have their chat show at the Scarborough Spa, for those who are camping in the bikers village at the race circuit there will be live music, a disco and late bar on the Friday evening and also on Saturday night.
Saturdays programme includes a morning of practice with the first of the 11 races scheduled at 13.00, during Saturdays programme all classes will be catered for from 125 to Superbikes and also the very popular Formula II Sidecars.

The race entry includes, Guy Martin, Ian Hutchinson, Michael Dunlop, Ryan Farquhar, John McGuiness, Ian Lougher, William Dunlop, Adrian Archibald, Chris Palmer and Michael Pearson. Heading the sidecar entry is many times TT winner Dave Molyneux.

Sundays program starts with the main gates opening at 08.00 and at 10.00 in the bikers village entertainment marquee will be the meet the riders chat show where many of the top names will be present to talk to and give autographs, not only the competitors in the racing but the many riders who will be taking part in Sundays parades.

This year sees the 21st anniversary of the Steve Henshaw Trophy and this will be the theme of the anniversary parades. Due to clashes with other major events the auto 66 club have made the decision that the 50th anniversary brought back the riders from the 50s, 60s and early 70s so it was decided to mark the 60th with riders from the mid 70s to the present day along with their machines, names are still coming in but past lap record holder Phil McCallen will be riding his Honda RC45 so will other works rider of that era Nick Jefferies, Carl Fogarty and Jamie Whitham will also be parading along with Jim Redman who can’t keep away from the place, Andy McGladdery, Mick Grant, Roger Marshall, Dean Ashton, John McGuiness and Guy Martin.

The highlight of the parades will be the appearance of the John Player Norton to be paraded by William Dunlop. The first parade on Sunday will be 12.30 and the second four lap parade at 14.45. Racing on Sunday commences at 13.00 and is hoped to be finished by 18.00, there will be a total of 9 races on Sunday.

Advance tickets for the meeting are now all sold but admission is available on the gate on the day, a weekend ticket is available for £38 which does not include paddock transfer, neither do the day tickets which are on sale each day at £20 per adult, children under 15 and parking are free.
