Mallusk based contract hire and fleet management company Fleet Financial has announced a new three year sponsorship package worth £75K with Ireland’s top outdoor sporting event, the Relentless International North West 200 in association with Black Horse.
The Northern Ireland owned company which operates in GB, NI and RoI markets has backed the NW200 since 2003 and with Race Day set to take place on Saturday 15th May agreed a new three year deal kicking off in 2011 with organisers Coleraine & District Motor Club Ltd. Fleet Financial will provide key race executives including the Clerk of Course, Course Manager and Race Director Mervyn Whyte with a range of up to 18 vehicles such as Jaguar and BMW cars in the months running up to Race Week as well as additional cash support from January 2011 until May 2013.
Fleet Financial Sales Manager Jim Humphreys said, “We believe the North West 200 is one of the most important sporting festival events in the calendar and as a locally owned and based company we wanted to support the excellent team of volunteers led by Mervyn Whyte who do such a sterling job managing this high profile event. We’re extremely proud to be part of the North West 200 and look forward to working closely with all the team for the next three years.”
Commenting on the new agreement Race Director Mervyn Whyte MBE said, “Through our partnership with Fleet Financial we have been able to enhance our reputation for top quality event management and I’d like to thank Jim and his team for all their hard work and contribution to the NW200 and we look forward to working alongside them in the future.”
Fleet Financial employs 26 people and is the only locally based contract hire and fleet management organisation to feature in the UK top 50 contract hire/fleet management companies.
This year’s Relentless International North West 200 in association with Black Horse takes place on Saturday 15th May. Roads close 10am.
