Careva Publishing is pleased to announce a three-year sponsorship package with leading insurance broker, Adelaide Insurance Services. The Belfast based company will take over title sponsorship of motorcycling’s Irish Racer Awards – regarded as one of the UK and Ireland’s top black tie events.

The event will now be referred to as, Adelaide Racer Awards, and the overall winner of the Adelaide Irish Motorcyclist of the Year accolade, will be presented with the famous trophy for the seventh time on January 15th 2010 at the Ramada Hotel on Belfast’s Shaw’s Bridge.

The current holder, Ten Kate Honda World Superbike star Jonathan Rea, jetted in from France after the Magny Cours WSB round to launch the new Adelaide, Careva Publishing partnership, and was delighted to be involved.

Rea said: “Without taking anything away from the other awards I’ve won, ‘Racer Awards’ is now a landmark on the racing calendar, and to come away with the main award is really important for me as a racer. It’s always good to get recognition from your home supporters and journalists, but it’s equally as important for me to be able to bring members of my team to Ireland and show them how great a night it is, and how much effort goes into the event.”

Sam Geddis, Director, Adelaide Insurance Services said: “It’s very fitting for Adelaide Insurance Services to sponsor Ireland’s premier motorcycle awards and we look forward to an association with this event for years to come.”

Paul Lindsay, Publishing Editor, Irish Racer magazine said: “In the current economic climate, it is a real coup to have secured a three-year sponsorship package with Northern Ireland’s leading motorcycle broker. Adelaide has been a staunch supporter of motorcycling events in Ireland over the past number of years, and I suppose ‘Racer Awards’ completes the set.”

Lindsay added: “The event has gone from strength to strength since its inception back in 2004 and with such strong performances from the likes of Jonathan Rea, Ryan Farquhar, Eugene Laverty, Alastair Seeley, Michael and William Dunlop and Jamie Hamilton in 2009 – we could be in for the closest vote ever for the main Adelaide Irish Motorcyclist of the Year award this coming January.”

We would also like to give a big mention to our other loyal sponsors: Red Bull, Fabdraw, Black Horse Motorcycle Finance, GPS Colour Graphics, Bridgestone and Greenlight Television and our media partners Sunday Life.

We have also added two new high profile local companies to our line for 2010 in Fonacab and IFS.

The Duke Rankings Award will also be presented at the 2010 event in the Ramada Hotel in Belfast.

Tickets for the 2010 showpiece are currently on sale by contacting
Careva Publishing on 028 9048 6034.
