Carrowdore 1989 RIP.
This Sept marks 20 years since we lost Big Sam.
One of the best privateers in roadracing in his day.
Who remembers the sound of the big Suzuki coming up the tunnel in Skerries,or the first RC30 to race on irish roads.
What memories he left us.
In the phrase he coined himself which strangely everyone is using lately.

KEEP HER LIT !!!

I loved to watch Sam on the 998,what a great sound and you could hear it coming from miles away.Sam was also the first rider to lap any Ulster road circuit in under 3 minutes.I remember it being the headlines in the Irelands Saturday Night.
