The Isle of Man TT offers some of the greatest racing you will see anywhere in the world, and with almost 40 miles of circuit there are plenty of amazing spots to watch the action.
Safety is paramount, which is why access to some areas next to the circuit is prohibited or restricted. Please make sure you pay attention to all signs and follow instructions from race officials and marshals.
Below you can find information about areas where access is prohibited or restricted, as well as downloading a list of the areas affected and maps and photographs clearly indicating where spectating is prohibited or restricted around the TT Mountain Circuit.

TT 2009 Prohibited and Restricted areas
In the interest of safety, a review has been carried out of the Prohibited and Restricted areas located at various positions on the TT Course.
A small number of amendments have been made since the 2008 event, but all areas will be clearly marked and a location map clearly showing the effected areas will be displayed at all locations.
Prohibited Area
Prohibited Areas around The Course are marked with the following sign:

Article 11 of The Road Closure Order states:
“(1) No person or vehicle shall, during a closure period, enter or remain on a Prohibited Area, except to go to the aid of a person or to prevent further danger or risk to the competitors or any other person.
(2) The extent of the Prohibited Area shall be clearly marked and indicated by notices bearing the words 'Prohibited Area'.”
Restricted Area
Restricted Areas around The Course are marked with the following sign:

Article 10 of The Road Closure Order states:
“(1) No person or vehicle shall, during the closure period, enter or remain on a Restricted Area other than race Officials, Marshals,
Officers in the course of their duty or other persons or vehicles approved by The Clerk of The Course.
(2) The extent of the Restricted Area shall be clearly marked and indicated by notices bearing the words 'Restricted Area'.”
Section 5(2) of The Road Races Act 1982 empowers a Constable or a Marshal to remove anyone found in such an area, using such assistance as may be necessary.
