Isle of Man TT Races Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson MBE is planning to review Monday evening’s second qualifying campaign following advice from the Isle of Man Meteorological Centre.

An announcement as to whether the session will go ahead will be made on Monday 1st June at around 2pm.

The session is set to get underway at 6.20pm with roads beginning to close on the Course beginning with the Mountain Road from 5.00pm. However, there are advance reports of high winds and heavy rain in late afternoon.

Gary Thompson commented:

“At the moment there is every indication that the weather isn’t looking good. We want to give people plenty of notice so we will review in the morning and make an announcement at around 2pm dependent on conditions at the time. I will be in constant contact with the Meteorological Office at Ronaldsway – who incidentally were spot on with last night’s forecast when we had to curtail the session towards the end of the Lightweight TT session.”

Note that as heavy rain is anticipated, the Nobles Park Car Park will not be opening at all today to protect the ground to ensure that it can operate later in the week.
