Ballymena's Neil Kernohan has been confirmed as the highest placed Newcomer in the Duke Road Race Rankings 2014.
The Northern Ireland youngster finished in 13th position overall in the rankings at the conclusion of 25 rounds which took place in Northern Ireland, Eire, the Isle of Man, England (Oliver's Mount, Scarborough), the Czech Republic and Macau, with Neil competing in just 11 road races throughout the season.
Neil achieved a total of five race victories during the year, at the Bush Road Races, Walderstown, Armoy and Faugheen including his first International race win at the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup at Oliver's Mount in September.
In addition he took a further six podium finishes, four second places and two thirds, along with six fastest laps in the 23 races he raced in - his lowest finish being 10th.
Neil Kernohan is the second rider from the Logan Racing stable to lift the Duke Road Race Rankings Newcomers Award, with Sam Wilson taking the award and trophy in 2012.
