Adelaide Motorbike Insurance and Mondello Park have announced details of the 2015 Adelaide Masters Series, Ireland's biggest Short Circuit Motorcycle Racing Championship. The championship launch took place at the Adelaide Blackhorse Motorcycle Festival in the Kings Hall Belfast.

On hand to introduce the new season were Nichola Pearce from Adelaide Motorbike Insurance, Fergus Brennan from Mondello Park, Roy Biggerstaff from Bishopscourt and some of the riders who will star in the series which will run between April and October.

Having been involved right from the start of the championship in 2011, the support of Adelaide Motorbike Insurance has been a key factor in the development of the Adelaide Masters Series into Ireland's biggest Motorcycle Racing championship. Series promoters Mondello Park are therefore delighted to have Adelaide back on board for another year and are looking forward to continuing the growth and success of the championship this season.

For 2015 the Adelaide Masters Series will be made up of five events, three two day events on the Mondello Park National Circuit, a single day event at Bishopscourt and the two-day series finale on the Mondello Park international Circuit. All of the Mondello Park events will be televised live on Mondello.TV, the circuits' own live streaming web TV channel.

With the series continuing to grow steadily during 2014, this season will see further evolution of the basic race day format. All five events will continue to concentrate on the Superbike and Supersport championship but for 2015 the Grand Final will be dropped in order to allow an increased race distance for the feature classes, bringing them more in line with International Racing.

The one major change will be the adoption of a BSB style race qualification system for Superbike and Supersport. This format will see grid positions for race one decided by times from the single qualifying session. The grid for race two will be decided by the lap times from the first race with the grid for the final race of the weekend being worked out on lap times from the second race.

Speaking on the announcement of the continuation of their title sponsorship of the championship, Sam Geddis, Managing Director of Cornmarket Insurance Services, of which Adelaide Motorbike Insurance is a brand said, “Mondello Park are continually enhancing this event to make it more exciting for both spectators and riders. We’re also delighted with the popularity of the live broadcasts on Mondello.TV enabling a wider audience to enjoy Ireland’s biggest motorcycle racing series. We look forward to investing in another thrilling Adelaide Masters Series.“

Speaking on behalf of Mondello Park, Championship co-ordinator Fergus Brennan said ”We've enjoyed a fantastic partnership with Adelaide Motorbike Insurance over the past four years so naturally we are extremely pleased that the association will continue into 2015. The series grew yet again in 2014, in terms of competitor numbers, so we are looking forward to continuing that growth into 2015 with the support of Adelaide.”
