Ulster Centre Tarmac Committee and MCUI Short Circuit Commission have agreed the following format for Irish Short Circuit C/Ship Events from 2015. This still needs to be ratified on Saturday 6th Dec at the Intercentre Conference:-
It was agreed that 16 races is recommended as the maximum that could be run at a 1 day Short Circuit Event i.e. 8 races x 2 Rounds per Event = 16 races
Classes A to G must run at every Event (A) Superbike Pro (B) Supersport Pro (C) ‘B’ Race or Superbike /Supersport Cup & F1 (D) Pre-Injection & 250GP (E) Super Twins & Production Twins (F) Moto3 (Includes 125GP), SS400 (Includes Moto450) (G) Production 125/250
Classes H & I to have an equal share of Events throughout the season. An agreement to be reached between representatives from both Clubs.
(H) Sidecars (I) Classics & Forgotten Era
SBK & SS Pro & Cup competitors will continue to practice separately. The MCUI Pro graded riders will automatically qualify for their respective Pro race, the remainder of each grid will be filled with the fastest Cup riders. Timekeepers to aim as much as possible to ensure a full Pro race grid.
It was agreed the Formula 1 Series will receive Irish & Ulster Championship status from 2015 and will run in conjunction with the SBK/SS Cup or ‘B’ race at every event. F1 competitors will be exempt from the upgrading process and will remain within the Cup or ‘B’ race.
