This Saturday, the Cookstown and district MCC in conjunction with the Eniskillen 100 Revival group are staging a round of the ISB championship at St Angeleo airport. This irish championship short circuit event will have everything for the motor cycle fans and their families!.

Over the past couple of years, the event has grown in popularity, and the theme will still continue with a Classic festival, where there will be a static display of bikes and cars, with motor cycles also getting two, six lap runs!.

The circuit, was last used in 2006, on that day, a newcomer to short circuit racing made his debut, he qualified on pole in his first outing, on a 600 machine, since then, the rider has went on to become British Champion, he has also tasted wins at the NW200, UGP, and more recently at the Classic TT!!,That was Lee Johnston, so, will there be a new up and coming star this weekend?.

The ever popular Czech rider, Michal “Indie” Dukopil, along with his girlfriend, Veronika Hanakocyova will create their own little piece of history when an Irish short circuit meeting will have Two Czech republic riders on the grid!. Thanks to their sponsors, R&T E Racing, Michael and Veronika will race in the supertwins, and also the 600 and superbike races!.

Looking down the entry list, we have a great depth of talent, the cream of Irelands top 600 riders, Carl Philips, Christain Elkin ( former British Champion), up and coming teenager, Jason Lynn, Jamie and Ross Patterson, and Kevin Keyes, but to name a few.

Cody Nally, the Athlone rider, is the leader of the ISB Championship, and will be keen to extend his points in the championship.

Local riders taking part include, Dean Campbell, Paul Cranston, Nigel Moore, Adam Crooks, Andrew Black, Trevor Stewart, Alan Graham, Gary Millar, Dean Millar, and former quad rider, Aaron Ebbitt.

Shaun Anderson makes a race appearance at a short circuit meeting, when he rides the Doons Stores Suzuki in the 600 race.

In the parade lap, there is some spectacular machines in action, such as Billy McCosh, on his G50 Matchless, Brian Hewitt, 125 MBA and RC162 Honda replica Honda,, Michael McGarritty on his 350 AJS 7R, Gary Millar on a TZ 350 Yamaha, Don Curry 250 CB72RR.

The event is sponsored by ERNE DIESEL SERVICES and McMahons Hotel, Irvinestown.

The circuit will open at 5 pm on Friday, for anyone wishing to make the journey there on Friday evening. It is hoped that scrutiny and sign on will also take place on Friday evening.
