Like most of the 250 runners, Tommy Henry is chuffed that the 250 class is going ahead at this years KDM Cookstown 100 road races.

Tommy, from the real road racing country of Armoy! And is a die hard 250 enthuasist. Already a past national road race winner, when he won at his local Mid Antrim 250 race in 2012, Tommy understands the plight of the organizing clubs as regards the running of the 250 class, unfortunately, spares are getting harder and harder to come by for these machines, and that isn’t helping our cause!.

Now entering his 3rd season of road racing, Tommy Henry is a nephew of Sammy Henry, who was well known to the Cookstown fraternity, as he was sponsored by the Local ROYAL HOTEL for many years, up until his accident, which curtailed his racing career. Tommy is looking forward to the Orrittor circuit, as theres a great buzz about the place, more so, because it’s the first road race of the year!

The KDM Cookstown 100 will take place on Friday (practice)and Saturday, 25th/26th April. Roads Close on Friday at 12 noon, and on Saturday at 10.00am.

Just a quick question in regards the above statement saying the real road racing country of Armoy does not the achievements of Ray McCullough, Trevor Steele, Brian Reid and various other excellent riders from the North of Ireland mean notthing these days, Has it become if your from Armoy you are automatically a star im not taking a go at tommy its not his fault that so called press write stupid statements but it has become inpossible to buy any mags in ireland without certain riders from Armoy plastered on every page just maybe this why all sales of mags have slumped people are sick of the same crap month after month.
