Road racing’s biggest name will undoubtedly draw in the crowds as Tyco Suzuki’s Guy Martin makes a special appearance in Ballymoney on Saturday, December 7.

Martin, star of acclaimed motorsport movie TT3D: Closer to the Edge, is one of the biggest names in world motorcycling and the Lincolnshire star will be in town to officially launch leading photographer and writer Stephen Davison’s latest book, Road Racers, at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.

The event will take place from 1pm to 4pm when Martin will meet fans and sign copies of the book, which is Davison’s eighth hardback publication and follows on from his previous releases, including Joey Dunlop: King of the Roads, John McGuinness: TT Legend, Flying Finn, Between the Hedges and Beautiful Danger.

Over 100 images in Road Racers capture the riders at their spectacular best on the public roads and country lanes at race meetings from Ireland to the Isle of Man and from the Czech Republic to Spain.

Morecambe’s John McGuinness and Ulster’s own Michael Dunlop are among the top names featured in Road Racers, along with Ulster Grand Prix hat-trick hero Martin and Ian Hutchinson, who made a sensational racing comeback following injury at the Macau Grand Prix earlier this month.

Road Racers also provides an insight into the mindset of national road racing’s most successful ever rider, Ryan Farquhar, who quit the sport following the tragic death of his uncle, Trevor Ferguson, at the Manx Grand Prix in 2012.

Fans will have the chance to purchase Davison’s latest book - which would make the perfect Christmas gift - at the official launch, when a huge turnout is anticipated.

Published by Blackstaff Press, Road Racers (£17.99)is available in all good bookshops and online via Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk.
