THE 2014 Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week will take place between 11th and 16th August, the event’s promoters have confirmed.

The main events are practice sessions on Wednesday 13th August, the Dundrod 150 national road races on Thursday 14th August and the international Ulster Grand Prix on Saturday 16th August.

The Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club has also released details of a revised general admission pricing structure:

·     All week entry - £25

·     Saturday only entry - £25

·     Wednesday & Thursday only - £15

Entry is free for children under 16 years old.

Early bird ticket offers are now available on general admission wristbands and hospitality tickets.

Until 28th February, fans can purchase an all week wristband plus a programme for £20, offering a saving of £10.

Hospitality tickets are on special offer at 2013 prices until the end of December. A single ticket costs £110 and a table is £1000, subject to VAT. 2014 prices will be announced in the New Year.

Clerk of the Course Noel Johnston said: “We’re pleased to be able to confirm the 2014 dates a little earlier than usual as we’ve been receiving enquiries from fans since the last event finished.

“At this time of year riders are still chopping and changing teams, but rest assured that by the time August comes around we will have a line up of the world’s best road racers competing at Dundrod.”

Enrico D’Aloja, Brand Manager at title sponsor Metzeler said: “We were proud to have been associated with and experience firsthand the Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix. The racing was fantastic, the fans extremely passionate and the organisation excellent.

“It was a successful first year of involvement for us and we look forward to working closely with the Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club to make the event even better in 2014."

On behalf of Lisburn City Council, Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee, commented:  “I would congratulate the Dundrod and District Motorcycle Club in promoting another successful event in 2013 and its recent success in winning the Drayne’s Farm Lisburn Sports Personality Club of the Year award.

“I am looking forward to the Council working closely with the Club in preparing and promoting the 2014 Metzeler Ulster Grand Prix Bike Week.”
