it was a sad day at tandagree to see only 5, 250s start the race, abeit a couple of the lads are out injured, but were are they all gone, ive noticed one team missing out of the paddock, sadly to say, he is a big loss to the sport, last year we had 18 members score points in the 250 championship, to date this year, only 7 have scored points. it may well be down to parts, the price of bits has risen dramitically, were in recessionary times, the same money isnt around, but we will presevere and try to keep them lit.
on the other side of the coin, thre seems to be a bigger influx of 125s this year, full grid with reserves at cookstown, 19 at tandagree, it seems like the wee squealers are getting more support, or more coming out of the woodwork, ive noticed a few new names this year, and they also joined the strokers club, which is good to see, they can rest assured that we are fully behind them, but remember its with your help that we can survive in difficuly times, and only you can make this possiable, we cant do it on our own.
remember this year we are 10 years old, whoever would of thought we could of survived some 10 years, we have raised and paid out some €150,000, in the previous years, to clubs, and in the latter years our own championships, this is your money, and has helped keep the strokers lit.
why not help us and keep them lit for as long as possiable, without your help we cant do it, membership is only £10/€15, you can send us your name and address, with payment to, a.j. hughes, 6, st catherines park, rush, co dublin. or see me in the paddock
LETS TRY AND KEEP ER LIT FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS
