Raceways Yamaha for Oatesy in 2010

Hallet Aviation rider Stephen Oates, pictured above, will have a top spec Raceways Yamaha R6 for the 2010 season. Steve Rogers of Raceways Yamaha is building an R6 based upon the British Supersorts machinery that's been runner up for the last two seasons in the Supersports Championship.

Speaking earlier today to www.roadracingsupporters.com Team Boss Neil Hallett said;

"I've arranged with my old mate Steve Rogers from Raceways that Oatesy will be riding a Raceways Yamaha R6 next season on the roads, I'm buying a specially built bike from them and they'll support us all next season,  the special road engines are being built now to a slighly safer standard than their track bikes, we need a bit more safety margin on the roads. The bike will be in Raceways Yamaha factory colours with my logo's off course."

"We couldn't ask for a better pedigree than the Raceways boys being runner's up for the last 2 seasons in British Supersport."

Neil also added that the team's newly rebuilt Suzuki 600's will be available to Ian Whitlow all season whenever and wherever he needs them in 2010 as he builds up towards the Manx Grand Prix in August.

This will be a fantastic move for Oatsey and the Team in 2010 as they look to build upon a tremendously successful 2009 with 2 TT Silver replicas and a top 6 finish for Oatesy at the S100 Solo Championship amongst many other highlights.

For both Oatesy and Ian it must take some pressure off to have top spec machinery for 2010 all sorted well in advance of the season. Here's wishing them the best of luck.
