Re the entry fee reduction at Frohburg. The cost of the race had been advertised at 75 euros for weeks in advance. It was to be run as a dash for cash but as most objected to the entry fee it was reduced down to 30 with no prize money.

Maz. The last race was to be the JD challenge race for the UK riders plus others, but because not all that promised to turn up to race never showed was the decision made to change the format. Also due to a few red flagged incidents time ran out and additional road closing was needed and had to be paid for, that's where the entry money went. Lets just agree the Frohburg Club put on a great meeting which we all enjoyed and a big thanks to the, see you next year.

The BIGGEST problem, is EDUCATING the Public to Pay!, for too long, they have gotten to see races for free, it has become a way of life for them , and they actually do begrudge paying. Many years ago, i used to work on saturdays, never got to to races!, anyway, i was off work with an injury, ad the race of the year was at aghadowey, mick grant, dave griffiths etc were there, we were going through the gate to pay in, i was in the back seat, with my money at the ready, and the driver asks how much!, what ever the price was, it was a bit more for this meeting, due to the extra prize money and star riders!, and when he was told how much ( think it was 7 quid), he asked, " is kenny Roberts riding?", i was so embarrassed, but he and the others in the car just didnt want to pay the extra, BUT they DID want to see the quality riders

When myself and Hellandback were at the Sunflower, (may as well been my first time there as i hadnt been since McCallen and co were racing many moons ago), i did remark that i couldnt believe that the programme cost £25 for the weekend and remarked, imagine trying to charge that for the road races! No one would pay it! I dont know how The Sunflower can charge so much for 2 days! Can anyone explain that?
As i said before, i gladly pay for wristband if there is one, programme, parking if i need too and camping should that be charged as well. Every penny is worth it at the end of a sucessful and thrilling race meet!
Frohburg has a great idea! It think it was 20 euros for the weekend wristband and the programme was only 1 euro above it to buy! No one had a problem with that and they seemed to be getting more money in that way! Idea for us perhaps???
