Everyone has a hero, to me Gary Dynes was my hero.
Sadly its hard to belive that some 9 years ago, Gary was taken away in an accident at the North Monaghan Road Races, in Glasslough village.

His memories still hold a big place in my heart, from small begingings to the bigger stage, Gary was that rider, a two stroke specialist, weither it was a 125, 250 or the exotic ROC 500 Yamaha, he excelled in the stroker class, my best memories were his winning the 2 back to back grand finals at Skerries, setting the lap record against the bigger 600s and 750s, he was a master of the stroker class.

Gary Dynes departed us on the 13th of August 2000.

God Speed, Gone but not forgotten, my HERO, R.I.P #6.

something i would like to share with you all.

Almighty wings of steel he rode,
his number 6 stood proud,
a master of the roads he was,
a favourite of the crouds,
to me he was a hero,
who could mix it with the best,
more often at the checkered flag,
he proved to be the best.

But fate is cruel to all thats good,
and on that fatefull day,
gary gave his best and more,
and he was taken away.
But we will cherrish memories,
of garys greatest days,
for us the maralin magician,
is never far away......................
